Gina is an artist, educator, writer and traveler, who firmly believes that getting outside one’s comfort zone and taking risks is one of the most impactful ways to optimize life’s opportunities. Born in Canada and raised in Hartford, Connecticut as one of ten children from parents of Guyanese heritage, Gina is passionate about connecting and engaging in dialogue with people of diverse backgrounds, venturing into the unfamiliar, embracing new experiences and blazing her own path. Gina has traveled to 49 countries (…and counting) on five continents. Her ventures have taken her to the far reaches of the globe-from Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia to Paris, France to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, where she currently works and resides. This is a blog about Gina’s adventures and the many extraordinarily gracious people whom she has met along her journeys.
